CEVA Logistics is a young company, however, its distinguished parentage and entrepreneurial spirit can be traced back to 1946.
1946
In Australia, Ken Thomas
founded Thomas Nationwide Transport (TNT) with a single
truck. Over the next 50 years, TNT gained a worldwide
reputation, particularly in the field of contract
logistics.
1984
EGL was created in Houston,
Texas and within 15 years had become a global force in cargo
management, with a presence in more than 100
countries.
1996
TNT was acquired by the
Dutch company KPN and was divided into three divisions:
Logistics, Express and Post.
2006
TNT Logistics was sold to
Apollo Management LP in New York and was renamed CEVA
Logistics. Six months later Apollo acquired EGL and merged
it with CEVA Logistics.
2014
Since 2014 CEVA Logistics
has undergone various business transformations until its IPO
in 2018.
2018
CEVA Logistics was listed on
the SIX Swiss Stock Exchange.
2019
Acquisition by CMA CGM, a
global shipping group, to form a strategic partnership to
offer end-to-end solutions to their partners. CEVA Logistics
became a fully-owned subsidiary of CMA CGM.
July 2019
CEVA Logistics unveiled its
new logo and brand identity.
October
2019
CMA CGM’s cargo management
activities (including CClog, LCL Logistix, ANL Log) and USL
cargo services (CClog) fell under the aegis of CEVA.
October
2019
CEVA is delisted from SIX
Swiss Exchange.
November
2019
Inauguration of the new
headquarters in Marseille.
January
2020
Mathieu Friedberg was
appointed CEO of CEVA Logistics.
June 2020
CEVA Logistics acquires AMI
Worldwide, Manica, and IBA, adds locations from CMA CGM
Inland Services, and strikes joint venture with MACCFA to
further expand across Africa.
June 2021
Gartner positions CEVA
Logistics in the Leaders corner of the 2021 Magic Quadrant
Third-Party Logistics, Worldwide.
April 2022
CEVA Logistics has completed
the acquisition of the majority of Ingram Micro Commerce &
Lifecycle Services (CLS) business and leading last mile
provider Colis Privé.
July 2022
CEVA Logistics has completed
the acquisition of GEFCO and continues Africa expansion with
Spedag Interfreight acquisition.
November
2023
CEVA Logistics completes
the acquisition of Stellar Value Chain Solutions in India to
expand presence in the IMEA region.
February
2024
The CMA CGM Group completes
the acquisition of Bolloré Logistics. CEVA gains significant
scale and industry experience in air and ocean freight
management.
July 2024
Ceva Logistics was the
official partner in logistics solutions of Paris 2024
Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Today
CEVA Logistics has a global
workforce of more than 110,000 people across 1,500 sites and
more than 170 countries.
