CEVA Logistics Ranked #3 Among Top 100 Logistics Providers in the Netherlands

CEVA Logistics has secured the #3 position in the Top 100 Logistics Providers in the Netherlands, as published by Logistiek.nl.

This prestigious ranking, determined by a panel of independent experts, recognizes CEVA’s continuous commitment to excellence across key areas such as sustainability, digitalization, operational performance, employment practices, and integrated supply chain solutions.

In the Netherlands alone, CEVA operates 41 warehouses, totaling more than 1.5 million square meters of warehousing space. Across Benelux, CEVA embraces sustainable logistics with efficient energy systems including 595,000 square meters of solar panels and four locations equipped with battery storage systems (each 175 kWh). The sustainable practices manage energy more efficiently and reduce peak loads when charging equipment or trucks. In the Netherlands, 11 warehouses are now equipped with heat pumps — a step forward in reducing its carbon footprint.

More broadly across Europe, CEVA currently operates more than 550 trucks powered by HVO100 and B100 biofuels, saving nearly 14,000 tons of CO2e each year (the equivalent to the annual carbon emissions from about 3,000 passenger vehicles driven for one year). 

Innovation also plays a central role in optimizing warehouse efficiency across the region. To enhance space usage and workload speed, CEVA in the Netherlands utilizes cutting-edge technologies such as Skypod, Autostore, Palletbridge, pocket sorters and shuttles—improving accuracy and working conditions for warehouse employees. Furthermore, CEVA’s warehouse operations in the Netherlands include:

  • 25 vertical lifts
  • 2 shuttle systems
  • 1 pallet cube
  • 33 packaging machines
  • 37 collaborative robots (cobots)

CEVA leverages advanced robotics solutions including Geek+, Skypod, and Locus Robots to boost picking efficiency, optimize storage, and reduce manual handling. These smart systems enhance speed and accuracy while supporting a safer, more ergonomic work environment.
This achievement is a powerful testament to the hard work, innovation, and dedication of CEVA’s entire team in the Netherlands. On a global scale CEVA launched CEVA FORPLANET, its new suite of sustainable logistics solutions geared towards helping customers reduce their environmental impact of their supply chains by leveraging a range of low carbon transport and circular economy solutions. As part of the new offering, CEVA FORPLANET provides precise data and CO2e calculations to ensure proper reporting.
